Denali Heli-Hike Adventure

Explore the Alaskan wilderness on this Denali Helicopter and Hiking Adventure around the Denali National Park and Preserve. Trek through the wild Alaskan back country with an experienced local naturalist at your side as you discover untouched areas of Alaska that few humans have ever seen.

Your Denali heli-hike adventure combines the thrill of cruising above the mountains, trees, and wildlife with the serene experience of hiking in the crisp air and crunchy snow below. Your Alaska helicopter excursion begins when you take off in a modern A-Star helicopter for awe-inspiring views of the Alaskan wilderness. An exhilarating 15 minute flight will bring you to your secluded hiking area, located just beyond the boundaries of Denali National Park.

Once there, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will lead you on an educational adventure hike above the tree line. You'll learn how to track animals and interpret the flora and fauna. If you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of some of the spectacular local wildlife, like bears, moose, and Dall Sheep, in its natural habitat. Your hike will present you with unforgettable views of the rolling hills, tundra ridge lines, and spectacular vistas of Alaska. Depending on the energy level of the group, you will hike anywhere from 2 to 5 miles total with stops for rest and photos.

You'll have a chance to relax on a hillside overlooking the valley and enjoy a small snack to keep your energy up and take some amazing pictures of the scenic landscape, before heading back to camp.

Limited to small groups of no more than 12, this truly unique Alaska shore excursion will leave you with a new appreciation of Alaska. The helicopter tour time is approximately 15 minutes, and hike time is approximately 3 hours 30 minutes with breaks.

See Alaska's unspoiled natural beauty on this unforgettable wilderness adventure that puts you where few humans have gone before - deep in the heart of Alaska's backwoods.

Please Note: If you are staying in the Talkeetna area (McKinley Princess Lodge, Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge etc.), you are approximately 100 miles from the Denali Park main gate area from which this tour departs. You would be responsible for your own transportation to the Denali area.
